Aydin Karimov, special representative of the President in the Shusha district, spoke at an international conference on "Regional Contribution to Global Security: Peacebuilding in the South Caucasus."
He stated that cities and villages in the liberated territories are coming back to life, with children's laughter heard in schools and kindergartens.
"Today, over 80,000 people live and work in the liberated territories. More than half of them are former refugees and internally displaced persons," Karimov emphasized.
He also noted that in newly built modern residential complexes, former refugees and IDPs are starting new lives in apartments gifted to them by the state leadership.
So far, approximately 30 monuments of local and national significance have been restored in Shusha.
