Mariyana Kuyundzic, the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, spoke at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum.
She emphasized that the EU prioritizes gender approach in mine action and supported the creation of the first female demining group in Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador noted that negotiations are ongoing with the International Trust Fund for Enhancing Human Security on a large-scale project to strengthen ANAMA's institutional and operational capacity.
The project includes training mine detection dogs, providing essential equipment, assisting mine victims, and supplying specialized ambulances. The documents are expected to be signed soon for implementation.
