Azerbaijan and Sudan have abolished visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the decision.
On May 19, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim. They discussed political, economic, humanitarian, and multilateral cooperation.
Both sides noted that next year marks the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations. They explored opportunities in energy security, green energy, agriculture, investment, education, and humanitarian fields.
Sudan expressed interest in Azerbaijan's experience in public administration, digital development, infrastructure, and post-conflict reconstruction. Azerbaijan allocated educational scholarships for Sudanese students.
At the end of the meeting, they signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders.
