The "Baku Call to Action", adopted at the conclusion of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), expresses special gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting one of the largest and most innovative forums in WUF history.
According to Oxu.Az, the document emphasizes that the "Baku Call to Action" is the result of months of work and extensive consultations with stakeholders ahead of WUF13.
The authors of the document noted the progress achieved and called for making such practice a standard for the entire WUF cycle, with structured interaction mechanisms to ensure continuity and accountability.
"We express our sincere gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting innovative WUF13, which brought together over 58,000 participants from 176 countries, making it the largest WUF forum to date," the document states.
It was reported that for the first time in history, 27 heads of state and government participated in the Leaders' Summit at the initiative of the host country.
Additionally, over 100 ministers, the UN Deputy Secretary-General, and other high-ranking officials attended the event.
Among the key innovations of WUF13, the document highlights the Baku City Award, the Business and Innovation Center, the WUF Academy campus, and the Practices Hub.
