Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Rashad Ismayilov announced that Azerbaijan will host World Environment Day on June 5 this year.

Speaking at the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, he said: "Azerbaijan has joined over 20 international environmental conventions. In 2024, we successfully hosted COP29, leading to the launch of the Loss and Damage Fund."

The minister added: "We call on the global community to act under the slogan 'Inspired by Nature: For the Climate, For Our Future'."
