On June 5, a drone attack on cargo ships in the Azov Sea resulted in Azerbaijani casualties. The Azerbaijani embassy in Russia immediately dispatched staff to the area.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), consular officers are in Yeysk providing support to the injured and rescued citizens. The injured are in good condition, with some expected to be discharged soon.
Russian authorities are conducting search and rescue operations and identifying the deceased. Documentation and repatriation efforts for the rescued are underway.
