In São Paulo, Brazil, a light projection and visual display featuring the colors of the Azerbaijani flag was presented.
According to Oxu.Az citing AZERTAC, the project, initiated and supported by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Brazil, was carried out in two key locations of the state capital that combine modernity and history.
On the famous FIESP skyscrapers on Paulista Avenue, the city's busiest center, a video clip showcasing Azerbaijan's ancient history, rich culture, national cuisine, and stunning nature was displayed. Alongside moving lines in Portuguese reading "May 28 - Azerbaijan's Independence Day," a light projection of the tricolor flag was shown.
The FIESP skyscrapers house 130,000 companies and 131 associations, contributing approximately 23% to Brazil's GDP, estimated at $2.5 trillion.
Another event related to Azerbaijan's Independence Day was organized with the participation of the São Paulo City Executive Council. The famous modern architectural and cultural landmarks, the "Octavio Frias de Oliveira" suspension bridge and the "Mario de Andrade" library, were illuminated in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag from evening until dawn on May 28.
For the first time, Azerbaijan's Independence Day is being celebrated with such visual-digital displays not only in Brazil but also in São Paulo, the largest metropolis in the Latin American region and a leading business and financial center.
Previously, as part of the first series of events, a concert by renowned Azerbaijani pianist and Honored Artist Nargiz Aliyarova was organized at the National Theater of Brazil in the capital Brasília, with the support of the embassy.
