On June 10, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made a historic visit to Japan.

This was the first such visit in 17 years.

The minister met with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and other officials.

Motegi emphasized Azerbaijan's role in energy security and regional stability.

Japanese media widely covered the visit.

In 2025, the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations will be celebrated.

Japan thanked Azerbaijan for its support in evacuating citizens from Iran.
