During Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's visit to Baku, Azerbaijan and Georgia signed a package of agreements to deepen strategic partnership in economy, energy, and connectivity.
The signing ceremony took place on May 18, 2026, in Baku, with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Kobakhidze in attendance.
The documents include intergovernmental agreements on natural gas supply, electricity trade, and the modernization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.
Notably, daily passenger train services on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route will resume from May 26, 2026, marking a key step in regional connectivity.
