On May 26, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New York as part of his working visit.
Oxu.Az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to China for organizing open discussions in the UN Security Council. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Azerbaijan-China relations.
It was noted that the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations in 2025 strengthened ties. The 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations will be marked in 2027.
The meeting covered cooperation in trade, investment, transport, energy, digital innovation, and humanitarian fields. The development of the Middle Corridor and Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was highlighted.
Cooperation will continue within the UN, OIC, Non-Aligned Movement, and other platforms. Satisfaction was expressed with China's active participation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan.
