MP Nasib Mahamaliyev stated in an interview with Oxu.Az that during the 44-day Patriotic War, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces acted in accordance with international humanitarian law, the Geneva and Hague Conventions.
He emphasized the strategic thinking and preventive measures of Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev. Armenia's support from world powers, double standards in international law, Islamophobia, and Turkophobia created an image of Armenia as 'invincible'.
Cities like Ganja, Tartar, Naftalan, and Mingachevir were shelled, causing civilian casualties, yet the world remained silent. Despite not committing these crimes, Azerbaijan faced biased pressure.
After the 2023 anti-terror operations, Azerbaijan provided a safe corridor, water, and food to Armenians leaving Khankendi, and offered reintegration, demonstrating that humanism is in Azerbaijan's genetic code.
'The crimes, atrocities, and genocide acts committed by Armenian fascism are a stain on humanity. Thanks to the President's precise diplomacy, all arguments of Armenia have been taken away. The name of the victorious Azerbaijani soldier is not associated with any war crimes,' the MP emphasized.
