Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Oxu.Az, this was reported in a broadcast by the Turkish channel "Haber Global".
It was noted that the Turkish leader congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on May 28 - Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
"We feel great pride and honor in the continuous strengthening of dear Azerbaijan and the increase of its influence in the region and internationally. The deep-rooted brotherhood and solidarity ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan, which draw their power from history, are strengthened every day on the basis of the principle 'One nation, two states', the legacy of national leader Heydar Aliyev. As Turkey, we will continue to develop our unique close cooperation and solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan in all spheres," the channel quoted from Erdoğan's congratulation.
The Turkish channel recalled that last year, Independence Day of Azerbaijan was celebrated in Lachin together with Ilham Aliyev, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Pakistani leader Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
"Ilham Aliyev pursues a policy that sets an example for the whole world," the channel quoted Erdoğan's remarks from last year in Lachin.
