Special Representative of the President for Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts, Emin Huseynov, speaking to journalists at WUF13, announced that for the first time in Azerbaijan, bifacial solar panels are being installed in the liberated territories.

“For the first time in Azerbaijan, bifacial solar panels are applied precisely in the liberated territories,” he emphasized.

Huseynov noted that the installation of solar panels, use of alternative energy sources, and off-grid street lighting systems are expanding in residential areas. He added that a large part of electricity in Karabakh and East Zangezur is provided through alternative energy sources.

The Special Representative further stated that the priority in the liberated territories is the creation of a human-centered city model. Master plans are being developed so that key social facilities are centrally located for convenient use.
