First consular consultations between Azerbaijan and Thailand held in Baku, focusing on cooperation, legal framework, and digitalization.

On June 11, the first consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Thailand were held in Baku.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department, while the Thai delegation was led by Mungkorn Pratoomkaev, Director-General of the Consular Affairs Department.

The consultations covered the current state of bilateral consular cooperation, expansion of the legal framework, and development of new cooperation mechanisms.

The sides discussed best practices in evacuation and emergency consular assistance, as well as digitalization of consular services.
