The Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania organized a conference at the Romanian Senate dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by members of the Romanian Parliament, government officials, diplomats, representatives of SOCAR, Yunus Emre Institute, Turkish Businessmen Association, and public figures.
The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Romania were played, followed by a moment of silence in memory of Heydar Aliyev.
Ambassador Gudsi Osmanov spoke about Heydar Aliyev's life and his domestic and foreign policy achievements.
President of the Romanian Senate Mircea Abrudean praised Heydar Aliyev's role in Azerbaijan-Romania relations.
Speeches were also delivered by Marian Neacșu, Cristian Terheș, and Senator Cristian-Augustin Niculescu-Țâgârlaș.
A video and photo exhibition were presented. Moldovan Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu also visited the exhibition.
