President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan addressed the leaders at the informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.
Reportedly, "Haber Global" aired a feature on this.
The head of state emphasized the importance of increasing cooperation among member states, stating that the Turkic world should become one of the geopolitical power centers of the 21st century. He also highlighted the growing strength of the organization internationally.
"Our cooperation with Turkic states in the transport sector is expanding. In the current global geopolitical situation, the significance of the Middle Corridor is increasing. The Zangezur Corridor, which is being implemented, will become one of the key segments of the Middle Corridor," the Azerbaijani leader noted in his speech.
President Ilham Aliyev also stated that digital development cooperation with Turkic states continues successfully. He noted that the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic cable line between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, part of the project, is expected to be commissioned in the coming months.
