President Ilham Aliyev commented on the heavy rains in Baku in May during a meeting on agriculture.
"I don't recall such rain in Baku in May. Older people probably don't remember either," the head of state said.
He noted that while the rain sometimes causes problems, it increases water resources and benefits agriculture.
The president touched on efficient land use, productivity, and zoning issues.
"Precise analysis of lands should be conducted to determine which crop is best for each area," he emphasized.
Ilham Aliyev highlighted the importance of modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and satellite capabilities.
"Every arable land plot should have its own passport," the president concluded.
