President Ilham Aliyev has signed a new decree amending the "Distribution of powers of operational-search subjects in conducting operational-search measures."
According to the amendment, the State Security Service (SSS) will now conduct operational-search activities in the field of security of persons and strategic objects protected by the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects.
This decision involves a redistribution of powers in the security sector.
