President Ilham Aliyev stated at a meeting on agriculture that new factories must be established to increase productivity.
He noted that grain yield currently stands at 3.2 tons per hectare, with a target of 5 tons.
In cotton farming, a record yield of 3.6 tons per hectare has been achieved, aiming for 5 tons.
“The goal is to export finished products, not raw cotton. New factories must be built, and I invite investors to do so,” he said.
Regarding intensive gardening and greenhouse complexes, the President announced plans to create 20,000 hectares of new orchards and add 500 hectares of greenhouses.
