President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, on May 19.
The head of state noted Belarus' high-level participation in the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
Expressing satisfaction with the development of Azerbaijan-Belarus relations based on close friendship, President Aliyev emphasized active cooperation across all sectors, highlighting the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue.
Igor Sergeyenko conveyed greetings from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. President Aliyev thanked him and asked to return his greetings to Lukashenko.
The meeting discussed economic cooperation, joint projects, and future prospects. The excellent organization of WUF13 was praised.
