He Lifeng noted that the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum discusses relevant topics on the global urbanization agenda and expressed honor to participate. He congratulated President Aliyev on hosting such a prestigious event.
The President appreciated China's high-level representation as a sign of respect and friendship towards Azerbaijan.
The meeting highlighted that Azerbaijan-China relations have reached the level of comprehensive strategic partnership. He Lifeng thanked Azerbaijan for its firm stance on the Taiwan issue, emphasizing China's support for Azerbaijan's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
President Aliyev recalled his state visit to China with pleasure and noted the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership document signed during the visit. He stressed that Azerbaijan condemns separatism in all its forms and supports the One China policy.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation in trade, transport, military-technical, and other fields.
