The head of state noted his high-level personal relations with the US president, recalling his visits to the United States and meetings with Donald Trump, as well as the visit of Vice President JD Vance to Azerbaijan.
He highlighted the signing of the "Strategic Partnership Charter between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America" as a historic step in expanding relations.
The importance of Abraham Hamadeh's co-authorship of a bill in the US Congress to repeal Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act was also discussed.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the guest's visit to Azerbaijan would be successful.
Abraham Hamadeh expressed satisfaction with being in Azerbaijan, noting the country's unique geographical location. He also highlighted prestigious sporting events held in Azerbaijan, such as UFC and Formula-1.
During the meeting, efforts of the presidents of Azerbaijan and the US to deepen strategic partnership were discussed, with both leaders attaching great importance to the development of interstate relations.
The role of Donald Trump in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia was particularly emphasized, along with the opportunities created by the TRIPP corridor for regional transport connectivity.
The meeting also involved an exchange of views on strengthening dialogue between Azerbaijan and the US Congress, with discussions on prospects for expanding cooperation in economic, trade, investment, energy, security, connectivity, technology, and other fields.
