President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Caleb Orr, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, on June 1.
Aliyev thanked Orr for participating in the official opening of exhibitions and the Baku Energy Forum within the framework of Baku Energy Week. He welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's letter to the event, emphasizing the importance of this partnership.
The parties noted the successful development of bilateral relations. The Strategic Partnership Charter and the establishment of working groups to expand cooperation were highlighted. The first meeting of the Azerbaijan-U.S. Economic Dialogue was also mentioned.
Orr conveyed greetings from President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He stressed that Trump's letter to Baku Energy Week demonstrates the event's significance.
