President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan attended the opening ceremony of the 31st International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, the 14th Caspian International Clean Energy Exhibition, and the 31st Baku Energy Forum as part of the Baku Energy Week.
According to a report by "Haber Global" TV channel, Aliyev stressed that the Zangezur corridor project will definitely be implemented. He stated that the corridor will serve as another branch of the East-West corridor and will be built based on a document signed on August 8 at the White House.
The President also highlighted Azerbaijan's growing role in global energy dialogue: "Today it is hard to imagine the European energy market without the Southern Gas Corridor. Last year, 12 countries received Azerbaijani gas; today that number is 16, of which 10 are EU member states. This number will increase."
