Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced at a WUF13 event that nearly $15 billion has been allocated for the reconstruction of liberated territories.
Bayramov emphasized that this process is not just about rebuilding cities and villages, but also about ensuring sustainable peace and economic development in the region.
He noted that nine cities, towns, and villages are being rebuilt based on sustainable construction, smart management, green energy, and human-centered urban planning principles.
The minister highlighted the mine threat as a major obstacle: "Over 1.5 million mines and unexploded ordnance remain, seriously hindering construction, agriculture, and safe return."
Bayramov stated that new railway, highway, energy, and digital infrastructure projects are integrating the region into a broader economic system, strengthening ties between Asia and Europe.
