The Milli Majlis congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva on May 28 - Independence Day and the holiday of Gurban.

According to Oxu.Az, Speaker of the Parliament Sahiba Gafarova announced this at today's final plenary session of the spring session.

S. Gafarova proposed sending a congratulatory letter to the head of state and the First Vice President on behalf of the Milli Majlis.

Deputies greeted the speaker's speech with applause.
