Mukhtar Babayev, Azerbaijan's representative on climate issues, spoke at an event during the World Urban Forum.
He stated that by 2050, an additional 2.5 billion people are expected to live in urban areas, with 90% of this growth occurring in Asia and Africa.
Babayev emphasized that sustainability is not only an environmental issue but also a matter of economic stability and human well-being.
