On June 18, the III Festival-Congress "Return to West Azerbaijan" began in Nakhchivan. Organized by the Presidential Representative Office, Ministry of Science and Education, Nakhchivan State University, and West Azerbaijan Community.
Participants first visited the monument of Heydar Aliyev, laying flowers. The official opening in Ordubad included a moment of silence and the national anthem.
NSU presented an artistic composition and a video. Representative Ceyhun Jalilov emphasized the link to national memory.
Minister Emin Amrullayev noted the shift from idea to strategic action. Ziyafat Asgarov highlighted the humanitarian nature of return.
Rector Elbrus Isayev said the victory created new opportunities. AMEA President Isa Habibbeyli stressed the significance of holding the event in Ordubad.
Community head Aziz Alakbarli called for respecting new realities. Mahira Huseynova noted the Zangazur corridor's role.
Rector Ekrem Gurel from Turkey said the struggle is common for the Turkic world. The Presidential Library project was presented.
The artistic part included concerts, exhibitions, ashug art, carpet and painting exhibitions. Panels followed.
