The authorized representation of the President of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will receive the status of a 1st category state body.
According to Oxu.Az, this change is reflected in the proposed amendment to the "Civil Service" law.
The draft law was prepared to improve the governance model in Nakhchivan as part of large-scale structural and administrative reforms.
The representation is an executive body that performs tasks set by the President.
It is headed by an authorized representative appointed and dismissed by the President, reporting directly to him.
Under the proposed changes, the positions of the authorized representative and his deputies are removed from the administrative classification, while the assistant's position is added to the third classification list.
After this change, the law will not apply to the representative and his deputies.
