The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed condolences to China.
In a social media post, the ministry stated: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic explosion at a coal mine in Shanxi Province, China, resulting in many deaths and injuries. We extend heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We stand in solidarity with the rescue workers."
At least 82 people died in the explosion.
