Leaders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) consider the development of cooperation in space activities a priority.
According to Oxu.Az citing Report, this is stated in the Turkestan Declaration adopted today following the informal summit of the OTS.
"We recognize the growing importance of cooperation in space activities and define it as one of the priority areas of interaction among OTS member states through joint initiatives aimed at strengthening technological partnership, developing scientific and human resources potential, and deepening cooperation and integration among OTS member states," the document says.
Additionally, summit participants welcomed the ongoing joint project within the OTS on the development and ground testing of a scientific spacecraft from the class of CubeSat-12U nanopatellites, assessing it as an example of effective multilateral cooperation.
