Over 2 million trucks dump trash into ocean daily

A UN official, Sharon Gil, stated that over 2 million trucks filled with household waste dump trash into the ocean every day, most of which is plastic.

The UNEP regional director noted that the goal is to reduce the impacts of plastic waste by 2040, with an investment of around $65 million.
