The Azerbaijani Parliament has approved new judge appointments for courts in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, and other cities during a plenary session.
Proposed appointments to the Baku Court of Appeal include Aytan Aliyeva, Telman Huseynov, Elnur Nuriyev, Farid Ismayilzade, Elshan Abdullayev, Elmeddin Huseynov, and Rena Gafarova.
Vahid Sadigov and Nural Aliyev were dismissed from their positions as appellate judges. Bilal Mammadov was appointed to the Sumgait Court of Appeal.
Etibar Mustafayev and Anar Asgarov were appointed to the Sheki Court of Appeal, while Fakhri Hajizade and Nijat Agabayov were appointed to the Shirvan Court of Appeal.
The draft decisions were put to a vote and adopted in one reading.
