Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko on May 19.
According to Oxu.Az, the Cabinet of Ministers issued a statement.
During the meeting, the importance of holding the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Baku was emphasized, with confidence that this prestigious event will serve as an important platform for strengthening international partnership on the future development of cities amid global challenges.
The high level of Azerbaijan-Belarus interstate relations was appreciated, noting the dynamic development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields thanks to the joint efforts of the presidents of the two countries.
The parties paid special attention to inter-parliamentary cooperation, expressing satisfaction with the level of constructive dialogue between the legislative bodies of Azerbaijan and Belarus in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
The meeting also discussed prospects for further expansion of Azerbaijan-Belarus relations in areas of mutual interest.
