President Ilham Aliyev announced at an agricultural meeting the goal of fully self-sufficient in meat, milk, and poultry.
He noted that current domestic supply is at 80-90%, and a short-term program for 2026-2030 aims to reach 100%.
With half of 2026 already passed, funding is needed this year. The government is tasked to find funds, with active participation of the private sector.
Estimated costs: over 2 billion manats from the state and over 3 billion manats from private investments.
