President Ilham Aliyev spoke at the opening ceremony of the Islamic Development Bank Group's 2026 Annual Meetings.
“After liberating our territories, we launched a large-scale reconstruction and restoration program. Today, approximately 90,000 people live, work, and study in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur,” the President stated.
He noted that over $15 billion has been allocated from the state budget for various projects, with total investments reaching nearly $17 billion.
“Currently, construction includes reservoirs, canals, power plants, international airports, tunnels, and bridges. We thank the Islamic Development Bank Group for its support,” he emphasized.
