On May 28, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the newly renovated Culture Center in the city of Khankendi.
Special Representative of the President in Khankendi, Khojaly, and Agdere districts, Elchin Yusubov, informed the head of state about the work done.
The building, built in the 1960s-70s, had wear and deformations in its load-bearing structures. After reconstruction, the center now provides conditions for cultural events, cinema, stage activities, creative training, and tourism services.
The three-story building includes an assembly hall, cinema halls, club rooms, dressing rooms, a buffet, a ticket office, and a souvenir shop. The 348-seat hall will host concerts, performances, film screenings, and official meetings.
This center will play a key role in revitalizing Khankendi's cultural life. Under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership, special attention is paid to restoring cultural monuments in the liberated territories.
