On May 9, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met with residents relocating to the village of Shukurbayli in the Jabrayil district.
During the meeting, the head of state discussed the restoration of agriculture. He noted that returning liberated lands to agricultural use is a priority, but due to the chaotic exploitation by Armenians, the process may take 5-10 years.
Residents recalled the village's past as a leader in viticulture, sericulture, and cattle breeding. The President emphasized that modern technologies and state support will revive these sectors.
