President Ilham Aliyev shared a post on his social media accounts about his meeting with residents in the village of Boyuk Galadara, Shusha.
The post highlights the President's remarks during the meeting.
"If the great leader Heydar Aliyev had not come to power back then, it is difficult to say what the fate of our people and state would have been. In any case, Azerbaijan faced a great disaster at that time. The war was stopped, development began, and strength was gathered. During my time, we dreamed of liberation every day and brought it closer. You, people who lived in these areas, know well how difficult the terrain is here, as well as in Lachin, Kalbajar, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, where there were seven defense lines and mines. Our heroic children, sacrificing themselves, broke those lines and forced Armenia to sign the act of capitulation in just 44 days. There has never been such an absolute Victory before or since."
