President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced during the Leaders Summit at WUF13 that Serbia and Azerbaijan will jointly launch a gas production plant.
The facility, located in the city of Nis, marks a new stage in energy cooperation between the two countries.
Vucic emphasized the strategic importance of Azerbaijani gas for Serbia: "Azerbaijani gas plays a decisive role in our energy security."
He noted that while Serbia uses alternative energy sources, Azerbaijani gas remains crucial.
