Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center, spoke at the Round Table on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples during WUF13.
He stated that while rapid urban development creates economic opportunities, it also highlights inequality and social inclusion issues.
Hasanov emphasized: "A city is not just a physical space where we live, but also a cultural environment for us."
He noted the importance of involving local communities in policy-making and incorporating diversity in urban planning.
