On May 28, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf held several meetings during his visit to Italy.
First, he met with board members and representatives of SOCAR and "Italiana Petroli" at the company's office. The current activities, market position, and strategic goals were discussed.
Later, SOCAR's head met with UNEM President Gianni Murano and Aurelio Recina, energy representative of "Confindustria".
The meetings highlighted Azerbaijan's growing role in European energy security and the importance of expanding the Southern Gas Corridor. Cooperation opportunities in infrastructure, gas transportation, and supply between SOCAR and Italian companies were reviewed.
