Sustainable Recovery of Ukrainian Cities Discussed in Baku

The sustainable recovery of Ukrainian cities was discussed at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.

Tamara Fortes, head of the "UN4 Ukrainian Cities" project under the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), stated that urban recovery should not be limited to rebuilding but must also encompass social and economic development.

The project has been implemented since 2023. Economic-demographic analyses and master plans are being developed for Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.
