US President Donald Trump has tightened the terms of a possible agreement with Iran. Washington has sent a new package of proposals to Tehran.
While details of the changes have not been fully disclosed, key issues reportedly involve Iran's frozen assets and nuclear commitments. Trump is concerned that Iran is slow to respond to US proposals, so Washington is increasing pressure to force Tehran to decide faster.
Analyst Yegana Hajiyeva told Baku TV: "Trump's tightening should be seen as a pressure element, not an attempt to break the deal. Washington is trying to keep Iran at the negotiating table and achieve maximum compromises."
Trump says Iran must agree not only not to develop nuclear weapons but also not to acquire them in any way.
