U.S. President Donald Trump disclosed new details about his bunker-like White House ballroom, including a drone base on the roof and a military hospital in a six-story subterranean complex.
Trump took reporters on a tour to push for $1 billion from Congress. Democrats and some Republicans call it extravagant amid rising gas prices and Iran conflict.
The 90,000-square-foot venue dwarfs the original White House. Trump says it is needed for 1,000-person events.
The roof will be made of impenetrable steel, windows of four-inch special glass. An underground complex will extend six stories deep.
