Deputy Sabina Salmanova stated in an interview with Oxu.Az that the informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkistan marks a new phase in regional cooperation.
She noted that President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Kazakhstan and participation in the Summit hold strategic importance. The Turkic world must become an influential geopolitical power center in the 21st century.
Salmanova emphasized that Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries in the OTS. Our country has taken significant steps in transport-logistics, energy, and investment sectors.
Holding the Summit in the sacred city of Turkistan carries special symbolic meaning. It reflects the respect of Turkic states for their shared past and their will to build a common future.
The deputy added that the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years. Political dialogue between the two countries is continuous and systematic.
