UN official Dmitry Mariyasin stated that due to urbanization, the world's most fertile lands have become unusable for agriculture.

He emphasized rapid urban expansion observed in Central Asia. High-yield valleys are being lost.

Mariyasin called for more countries to join the UN Strategic Environmental Assessment Protocol. Cooperation with Azerbaijan continues.
