The Trump administration imposed sanctions on Iran-based Amin Exchange and its front companies across UAE, Turkey, and Hong Kong.

The Treasury said these entities facilitate billions in currency transactions, helping Iran evade sanctions.

Additionally, 19 vessels shipping Iranian petroleum were blocked.

The move follows Iran's peace proposal to the US.
