The Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Asad Majeed Khan, sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev.
In the letter, he said: "It is an honor to extend my sincere congratulations to you, the Government of Azerbaijan, and the friendly people of Azerbaijan on your national holiday - Independence Day. The Economic Cooperation Organization greatly values Azerbaijan's active and constructive role in developing regional economic cooperation."
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands also sent a congratulatory letter: "I congratulate Your Excellency on your country's national holiday - Independence Day. I wish prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan."
Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, also congratulated the President: "Independence Day embodies the sovereignty and sustainable development of Azerbaijan. I wish you good health and new achievements."
