The 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) featured a panel discussion titled "When Housing Connects Cities: Local Cooperation in Practice."
Participants from Turkey and Palestine discussed housing policy, urban governance, and international cooperation.
It was noted that housing, transport infrastructure, social inequality, and natural disaster risks transcend administrative boundaries, necessitating a metropolitan approach to urban management.
Participants emphasized that strengthening inter-city cooperation, experience exchange, and international partnerships play a crucial role in implementing sustainable housing policies.
The event brought together municipal associations and cities to explore how decentralized cooperation works in practice, turning housing into a shared local responsibility across unequal realities.
